Ask anyone in Ouachita or Bossier Parish what keeps them off the patio in summer and they will tell you: mosquitoes, gnats, and the sun. A screen room fixes all three. We build them with aluminum framing, tight screen panels, and a Structall insulated roof, so the room stays shaded and bug free from spring through football season.
How we build them
Insulated roof, not a tin lid
Every screen room starts with a Structall roof panel system. The foam core keeps the heat off and the underside gives you a finished white ceiling for a fan and lights.
Aluminum framing that matches the house
Extruded aluminum posts and beams in white or bronze, sized for the span and set on your existing slab or a new one. No wood, so nothing to rot, paint or feed termites.
Screen options
Standard fiberglass screen, tighter mesh for gnats, or pet resistant screen for the dog that likes to lean on it. Full height panels, or a solid kickplate along the bottom to keep the mower clippings out.
Doors, fans and power
A self closing screen door where you want it, wiring for ceiling fans, lights and outlets, and a layout that works with the grill, the hot tub or the pool steps.
Convert an existing patio cover
Already have a patio cover? In many cases we can add screen panels and a door to the existing openings and turn it into a screen room without rebuilding the roof. We will tell you at the estimate whether the existing structure is sound enough to carry it.

Screen room questions
How much does a screen room cost?
Price depends on the footprint, whether we are building a new roof or screening an existing patio cover, the screen type, and any electrical work. We give a free written estimate for the whole job after measuring on site.
Can you screen in my existing patio cover?
Often, yes. If the existing cover is structurally sound we can add aluminum screen panels and a door to the openings. If it is not, we will tell you and price a proper roof.
What kind of screen do you use?
Standard fiberglass screen for most rooms, a finer mesh where gnats are the problem, and pet resistant screen where dogs or cats will be leaning on it. We can mix types in one room.
Will a screen room keep the room cooler?
Yes, mainly because of the insulated roof. The Structall panels block the sun and the foam core stops heat from radiating down. Add a ceiling fan and the room is comfortable on most summer evenings.
How long does it take to build a screen room?
Most screen rooms are complete within a few days once materials arrive. The roof goes up first, then the framing, screen panels, door and electrical.
